Could not put it down
By Jennifer L. Thom “Jennifer” (watertown, New York)
I received this book as a gift from a friend who also enjoyed the book. Upon reading the 1st page I was hooked. I wanted to keep reading as the plot was giving me just enough information go keep me interested but not give away too much. I rarely find the time to read and stayed up well into the night to finish this book. And I am now eager to start Mitchell’s next book!

This book will touch your heart and inspire you!!!
I couldn’t put this book down! The story touched my heart in so many ways. The characters are so genuine and real making it so easy to connect with them and get lost in the story. I felt every ounce of emotion in the story as if I were there watching it all happen in front of me. Great book!

Great story with many twists and turns!!
I bought this book from Amazon primarily because it was authored by a local person in my community. My expectations were that it would probably be a “so…so” book – boy was I wrong!! This is a great story about life and after reading the first two chapters, I could not put the book down. Each chapter left the reader with situations (twists and turns) that enticed the reader to want to immediately continue reading the next chapter. This book was heartwarming and will make you laugh and cry at the same time. Even though the characters came from different worlds, they taught each other about life. One significant reminder I gleaned from the book: “To thine own self be true.” You will not be disappointed with this book!! I can hardly wait for the sequel!!

Couldn’t Put It Down
I haven’t always been a reader but I have found over the past years that it is such a great “escape”. This book was an “escape” to a life and world that I could identify with in so many ways. It was amazing how well the characters “came to life” and I visualized each of them in my mind. From the story line to the characters to the struggles that so many of us face each day, this book was truly inspiring and gave such insight as to the difficulties, yet determination, to overcome. I would highly recommend this book for a good dose of reality and motivation to make the best and most of our lives regardless of any obsticle that might stand in our way. Can’t wait for the sequel!!!

Great Book!
I met Kathleen at a book signing at the Family Theater in Columbus, Georgia on a weekend trip to Callaway Gardens a few weeks ago. I bought the book and read it immediately. It has been years since I sat down with a good book because I usually work so much I don’t take the time to read like I did 20 years ago. This book reminded me that I have to take the time to read more. Of course, this was a great find and I was also glad to meet the author. I would encourage anyone to read this book. I feel sure we will see more by this author. I would have liked to had it in hardback. I absolutely loved it!

It was like Old Home Week
By The Visitor (San Antonio, Texas United States)
As I read this book I envisioned people that I had known in my own Georgia upbringing. It also brought to mind some of the despair of so many people I had known in my life that had to overcome similar challenges. The struggles expressed in the story are common for many people but the means by which they are expressed are not common and are very personal and engaging. The characters of the story engaged me, partly because they did remind me of my youth, of friends of my parents. It is a worthy read, one that I will do again, and one that I recommended to my wife and friends. Pick this one up and wait for the next one. Thanks KC for the story and the telling.

Wonderful Story!
By JUJU
This book drew me in from start to finish. I could visualize each of the characters in my mind as I continued reading and getting to know each of them. I loved Annie Mae and all her wisdom! This is an inspiring story of struggle and triumph. Could very easily see this as a movie, Oprah would make a wonderful Annie Mae! Highly recommend.

The Tapestry
By Janet Crane “jcrane” (Upton, KY)
I think this was a good start for a new writer. There was a good story line and I did get pulled in and wanted to know what was going to happen next. I think there was a lot of repetition and the organization could have been better. In the first paragraph of the story in the third sentence it stated that “I felt sore from last nights attach” and I believe “attack” was the correct word there so that was a bad first impression. There were other typo’s that I noticed but can’t remember. All in all not bad. If there is a follow up I would give it a try.

Compelling storyline!
From the opening paragraph I was drawn into the life story of Brie, her triumphs, and struggles. Almost immediately I found myself caring about this character. The twists and turns in the plot kept the story alive.

I absolutely loved it!
I was not able to put it down. Having a single mother I felt I was able to understand some of the hardships she endured as she was trying to provide a better life for me and my brother, who were very close to the ages of Abiella’s children. I have not been so interested in a story line since The Twilight Series. I absolutely love the characters! An excellent book… will definately be a best seller!

Such a compelling story!
By Amazon Customer (Columbus GA)
I have never read a novel written by someone I know before. While reading the first few pages, I was wrapped up in the novelty of it: “oh, my friend wrote this. How fun!” Very soon, though, I was swept up in the story, completely engrossed in the plot. I could not stop reading it and was horrified when I had to stop at a crucial point (Chapter 21!) in order to get some dinner. As quickly as I could, I resumed my reading and finished the book within a few hours of purchasing it. Brie’s story was so compelling and authentic; I just had to find out what happened to her.Life is like a tapestry: on one side, the picture is beautiful, but underneath you see the tangled knots and jumbled threads. Brie’s life is no exception. The reader sees the messy underside in the details of her story, but the overarching story is one of hope and redemption. I found myself caught up in the lives of the characters, and their voices lingered in my mind even after I finished the final page.
